TECFLUID S.A. began operations in January 1974, largely driven by the industrial growth of the late 1960's that created a huge demand for industrial products in general and flowmeters, level gauges and electronics in particular, to meet the needs of the expanding Spanish industrial sector.

Having wide experience and knowledge of the necessary technologies involved, we decided the time was opportune to take advantage of this demand and start manufacturing flowmeters, which at the time were difficult to source in Spain. Our aim was to establish a company with both the technical and economic resources available, together with our knowledge of manufacturing processes and advanced technologies, to be able to produce instruments comparable with those made by the most prestigious international companies.

The confidence shown in us by our customers, and our steadily increasing share of the domestic market, prompted us to enter the export market in 1988 as a means of expanding the business. This has been so successful that we now export to customers and distributors in more than 50 countries around the world, accounting for 45% of turnover.

The progressive increase in sales and introduction of new products has necessitated a considerable investment in new manufacturing and calibration facilities, so much so that what started out in 1974 as a 150 m2 manufacturing area is now currently more than 6.500 m2.

Developing our own in-house technology started to take shape in 1989 with the inception of or our own R&D department. Since then the company invests some 8% of turnover annually in the continuous development of new products and technologies.

Tecfluid was awarded ISO9001 QAS certification in 1996 and has implemented additional procedures to meet the certification requirements for Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), ATEX, Lloyd's Register of Shipping, etc. Tecfluid transmitters have also been upgraded to provide the option of using HART ^TM Communication Protocol.

The range and development of our products, is Tecfluid's answer to the demands and needs of our many loyal customers locally and around the world.
